Nancy's Visit - August 2010 : My mom's best friend Nancy came up from Portland to visit us for a couple days. It was wonderful to catch up with her and introduce her to Katie. Thad & Shannon's Summer Visit - July 2010 : Our friends Thad and Shannon visited us for a couple of days on their way through a Northwest tour. On Sunday, we went on a food tour of Pike Place Market, guided by Savor Seattle food tours. This was a great tour for tourists and locals alike. We learned a lot and enjoyed food we would have otherwise never tried. It was a hot day and Katie and Sarah were troopers for putting up with the backpack for two whole hours of walking (and eating, of course). Sarah has a nice blog post on the tour at What's for Dinner. On the second day, we toured the Hiram M. Chittenden Locks in Ballard. It was great to get to spend a couple of days with our friends enjoying Seattle.
